Well what a project that was!

A huge thank you to my lovely family for all of their hard work in getting this set up and ready for action!

It really was a family affair with every generation involved in the construction process!

I am very lucky to have a supportive family helping me and the rest of the Wheelbarrow team to keep plugging away at bringing this lovely pub back up to the wonderful place it once was

In the spring/summer months with a little more TLC to be completed, our lovely gardens and new play area and our outside seating area will make it the best of the best for families to spend an afternoon! Can’t wait.

Wow, what a day we had yesterday!! With the Annual Tractor Run heading off from our car park after enjoying a full English breakfast, followed by our usual busy carvery afternoon and then finishing with a touching tribute to John Fernihough with a memorial evening where his family and friends gathered to remember their loved one.

A big thank you to each and everyone of our brilliant team of staff who helped to get us through a VERY busy day!

We hosted a coffee morning with tea/coffee & biscuits for British legions poppy appeal.

We also held a raffle with all money going to the poppy appeal.

There was a great turnout and lots of money raised to this wonderful charity.

We were joined for the weekend by a large group of Steam engine enthusiasts for their End of Season run. They arrived with us on Saturday evening for dinner, which consisted of a three-course set menu with carvery for the main.  The engines and heavy haulage vehicles that attended were spectacular and certainly attracted a crowd of onlookers. The group then stayed overnight on our Car Park and joined us for a buffet breakfast the following morning. The weekend was a success and enjoyed thoroughly by all parties. Some describe this as the best-ever end-of-season run they have attended. Below are some images from the day.
